The webinar marked the launch of the activities accompanying the Germany–Costa Rica–Panama Business Delegation on Railway Technology, bringing together German companies interested in exploring opportunities in Costa Rica’s railway sector. Organized by DHK Costa Rica as part of the Market Development Programme for German SMEs (Markterschließungsprogramm für KMU), funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE), the event introduced the delegation programme and highlighted Costa Rica’s growing railway market. 

Participants received an overview of business opportunities for companies interested in operating or investing in Costa Rica, previous tender opportunities, and potential upcoming procurement processes in the railway sector. The webinar also introduced the programme of the Germany–Costa Rica–Panama Business Delegation, providing participants with valuable insights ahead of the delegation and its accompanying activities. 

As the first activity of the programme, the webinar offered companies an initial orientation and an opportunity to familiarize themselves with Costa Rica’s railway market, the delegation programme, and the business opportunities associated with the country’s sustainable railway development.
